The residents of Oakey QLD will very soon be using their new pedestrian bridge crossing. The 50m pedestrian / cycle access bridge is in its final stages, and brings much better access for the residents across the other side of Oakey Creek.

Subiaco Cycleway opens: Drone footage

The missing link in the famous Parramatta valley cycleway was officially opened to the public on Monday and finally connects the southern section of the cycleway to the existing cycleway bridge across Subiaco Creek to the north. Constructed by our NSW team, this new section includes 430m of elevated cycleway through highly sensitive mangrove area, 60m of existing bridge upgrade, almost 1000 metres of screw pile foundations and a large structural sail feature.

Work starts at Malabar Headland

Work commenced on site today on the new Malabar Headland Coastal Walkway for Randwick City Council and NPWS. Extending over 1km, this will be a spectacularly scenic coastal walk connecting Maroubra Beach with Pioneers Park, leading to Malabar Beach, and forming part of the popular coastal walk.

Butterfly at Carey Grammar, Kew

Fleetwood have been honoured to work along side ASPECT on a project at Carey Grammar Kew, in Victoria. A unique, vibrant butterfly canopy structure was developed by ASPECT studios in Victoria as a lightweight playful shade structure to sit over a play element for the Early Childhood centre.

Situated in Sydney's south-east, The Malabar Headland forms a significant natural feature in Australia's vast coastline and is home to hundreds of species of native and protected flora and fauna and is also a popular tourist attraction. Upgrading the coastal walkway around Malabar headland has been a focus for Randwick City Council and NPWS. Thus they required a solution that would allow suitable and safe access whilst protecting the ecologically sensitive environment.

Exploring the limits of play and leisure whilst providing the excitement desired by children, the new Superpark "Treehouse" allows children to reach new heights of excitement (literally). Standing nearly 15m high it provides a unique outlook over the newly developed parkland.

The official opening, known as "Brunch @ Bungarribee" was held last month and attracted thrill seekers from both far and near. This event combined the perfect mix of culture, leisure, relaxation, community spirit and play to create an exciting time for all.

Providing new pedestrian bridges will not only connect the communities but also fill the 'missing link' to many trails along the Cattai creek.

Promoting health and wellbeing amongst youth, especially in schools is critical for continual growth and development. My Park Rules was a simple yet brilliant initiative to build a new park for an Australian school and was organised by the 202020 Vision and the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA).

As a major partner in this project, Tract Landscape Architects will be running this project and Fleetwood are honoured to be included in this work. To show our support for this initiative we are delivering components of the shade structures in this park completely free of charge.

A new network of open play spaces at Googong (in ACT) is now available to the community. These play spaces were designed by Peet and AECOM. We have, for over 12 months now, been working alongside Peet and AECOM, as well as Glascott ACT, to deliver a number of items throughout Googong. Within this particular network of play spaces we have been responsible for the bespoke log bridges and legless seats.

Over the last 6 months, we have been working in collaboration with NRTIJV and Hassell, to progress the fitout of the public domain elements for the Northwest Rapid Transit project.

Our scope of delivery covers the public domain elements for the 8 core stations, 2 service facilities, and the Epping-Chatswood Rail Line stations at Macquarie University, Macquarie Park, North Ryde and Chatswood.
